Tau Beta Pi at a Glance

A Bit of Background

Here at Tau Beta Pi ASU, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part, as engineers, in making the world a better place for all, while recognizing excellence in academics, research, leadership.

We were founded as a honors fraternity 1885 by Dr. Edward Higginson Williams, Jr at Lehigh University. We foster a community of brilliant, determined engineers at ASU with a passion for pursuing their goals and helping others achieve theirs.

Who We Are

Tau Beta Pi (ASU) is a professional honors fraternity that creates a powerful network between engineering students and established engineering alumni to provide students with amazing opportunities to maximize their potential. We offer a community where engineering students can develop social skills and can freely share their innovative ideas, while creating life-long connections. Our goal is to create a presence at ASU by volunteering and spreading our philosophy.

"Failure is central to engineering. Every single calculation that an engineer makes is a failure calculation. Successful engineering is all about understanding how things break or fail."

Henry Petroski
